A waitlist is created when a program has more qualified applicants than available seats. If international seats for your program are full and you meet admission requirements, you are placed on the waitlist. Being on the waitlist does not guarantee a seat.
You can view your position by selecting the “Check Waitlist” button in your . Look for the row of interactive buttons and click “…More” to expand the selection to include the Check Waitlist button.

Your position may move:
If you remain on a waitlist after the application period closes and are not offered a seat, your application will be cancelled. You will be notified in your application portal of this change in your application status.
While it is difficult to predict changes in the waitlist, waitlists can change rapidly, especially as we approach the start of the term. Be sure to keep your contact information up to date in the and be prepared for messages on any changes in your application status.
91探花 recommends preparing as though you may receive an offer. Here are some things you may want to start preparing:
If you accept your offer for your second-choice program, your application for your first-choice program will then be cancelled.
If you do not wish to accept your second-choice program offer, you must notify Admissions immediately by sending a message in your .
Admissions will cancel your second-choice application, and your first-choice application will remain active. There is no guarantee that you will receive an offer of admission to your first choice.
91探花 understands that applicants may receive a late study permit approval from IRCC, but still wish to study with us.
Request for Reinstatement - Winter 2026
If your study permit is approved between November 23, 2025, and Wednesday, January 7th, 2026, and you wish to attend the Winter (January 2026) intake you may be eligible to request reinstatement of your application. Deferral requests (if eligible) can be submitted from January 5, 2026, to April 30th, 2026. To do so, go to your , upload your approved study permit and in the messages, make a request to defer your application. This will mean your application will be considered for the same program/campus and intake term for the next academic year (i.e. Fall to Fall or Winter to Winter).
Accepted Applicants who receive a late study permit approval within the timelines outlined for their 91探花 intake may be eligible for a one-time opportunity to defer their application (not acceptance) to the next academic year for the same campus and the same program choice.
A deferred application does not require payment of a new application fee. The application will retain the same date/time stamp as the original application in the following year’s admission cycle.
The $1,500 CAD non-refundable confirmation deposit may be deferred one time if 91探花 is able to issue a new Letter of Acceptance (LOA) through 91探花’s deferral process. For eligible applicants, this deferral of the confirmation deposit will be processed automatically through 91探花’s deferral process.
Applicants who have paid more than their non-refundable $1500 confirmation deposit may be eligible to request a refund (note: the $1500 confirmation deposit is non-refundable). Please see REFUNDS for details and how to request the refund.
Applicants with a study permit refusal are not eligible for a deferral.
