91探花 has a First Qualified, First Accepted admissions process. This means qualified applications who apply first will be admitted first. Once your application is complete, if you are qualified for your program choice:

  • you will receive an offer if there is space in your program
  • you will be placed on a waitlist if the program is full

Your application is considered complete, and given a date and time stamp, when:

  • The application fee is paid
  • All required documents are uploaded to the

Program Choices & Application Changes

How do I add a second choice?

If you currently have only one active program choice, you can add a second at no cost through the .

Can I change my program choice(s)?

You may request a program change if:

  • Your current program choice is still active
  • The new program start/intake date is within the allowed timeframe (no more than 2 intakes in the future.). Please note: 91探花 has three intakes: Fall, Winter and Spring.
  • Requests for the same term one year later are not eligible for program change. However, you may be eligible for a deferral (see the section below for more information on deferrals).

  • The program(s) you want to cancel
  • The new program name, start term, and campus

Your date and time stamp will be updated to the time of your requested change.

Deferrals

91探花 allows two types of deferrals for Canadian and Permanent Residents:

  • Deferral for Illness, Injury, Emergency, or Force Majeure
  • Deferral for Waitlisted Applicants
What does deferral for Illness, Injury, Emergency, or Force Majeure mean and how do I make a request?

91探花 will consider deferral requests when circumstances beyond your control prevent you from starting your program. Examples include:

  • Serious illness or injury
  • Significant family emergency
  • Disaster
  • Force majeure

You need to submit your request through your . 91探花 may request supporting documentation.

Please note:

  • If you are eligible for a program change or deferral, 91探花 will transfer your deposit to the new application.
  • A deferral does not guarantee an offer in the new intake of your program.
  • Confirmation deposits are non-refundable.
I was waitlisted for my program choice and was not offered a seat in the intake I selected by the start date. How do I defer my application to a future intake?

If you remain on a waitlist after the application period closes and are not offered a seat, you will be eligible to request a deferral. Your deferral will be to the same term in the next academic year (you cannot change program, campus, or term).

Applicants who are eligible for a deferral will be notified when this option becomes available and will be directed to take action in their .

It is important to note that a deferral does not guarantee an offer in the new program intake.

Understanding the Waitlist

A waitlist is created when a program has more qualified applicants than available seats. If your program is full and you meet admission requirements, you are placed on the waitlist based on your date and time stamp. Being on the waitlist does not guarantee a seat.

How do I find my position on the waitlist?

You can view your position by selecting the “Check Waitlist” button in your .

What can change my position on the waitlist?

Your position may move:

  • Up if someone ahead of you declines their seat
  • Down if someone with an earlier date and time stamp is added to the waitlist
What happens to my application if the program starts and I am still on the waitlist?

If you remain on a waitlist after the application period closes and are not offered a seat, you will be eligible to request a deferral. For more information, see the section above for more information on deferrals.

I鈥檓 on a waitlist. Can I find out more about my chances of being accepted? What do I do next to be prepared?

While it is difficult to predict changes in the waitlist, waitlists can change rapidly, especially as we approach the start of the term. Be sure to keep your contact information up to date in the and be prepared for messages or calls from our Admissions team.

91探花 recommends preparing as though you may receive an offer.  Here are some things you may want to start preparing:

  • Housing options – you can find out more information to help you prepare here: Off-Campus Housing
  • Financial plans - you can even apply for student loans while on a waitlist. You can also find out more information here: Paying for College
  • Transportation options
  • Childcare options
I鈥檓 accepted in my second-choice program, but I am waitlisted for my first-choice program. What does this mean?

If you are accepted in your second-choice program, you can remain on the waitlist for your first-choice program.  If a seat becomes available in your first-choice program, you will have limited time to decide if you wish to accept the new offer of admission.
