Program Admission Requirements

What is an Admission Profile?

An admission profile is a list of requirements that must be completed before starting an academic program. The requirements help ensure that applicants have the necessary academic preparation, skills, and knowledge needed to succeed in their chosen program and can meet the demands of post-secondary study.

Preparing for Application

Prior to submitting your application, review the Program Admission Profile associated with your program of choice and ensure you meet, or can demonstrate that you’re working towards meeting, the requirements identified in that profile.

Official High School transcript of marks is required for all Profiles, except for Profile F (please note that a copy of your high school diploma does not meet requirements). Profile F applicants are required to submit an official post-secondary transcript of marks.

Please note: Transcripts of marks that indicate modification or adjustment may need an additional evaluation.

Meet Profile A Requirements, plus

  • Foundations of Mathematics 1101
Profile C

Meet Profile A Requirements, plus

  • Foundations of Mathematics 1101
  • Two (2) sciences2, including at least one (1) of the following:
    • Biology 112 or Biology 122
    • Chemistry 112 or 122
    • Physics 112 or 122 (Recommended)
Profile E

Meet Profile A Requirements, plus

  • Calculus 120 or Foundations of Mathematics 120 or Financial and Workplace Mathematics 120 or Precalculus A or B 120  
  • Biology 112 or 122
  • Chemistry 112 or 122  
Profile F

Post-secondary diploma or degree in a related field or equivalent experience (see applicable Post-Graduate Program Page for specific admission requirements)

Profile H

Meet Profile A Requirements, plus

  • One (1) science from the following:
    • Biology 112 or 122
    • Chemistry 112 or 122
    • Physics 112 or 122
Profile I

Meet Profile A Requirements, plus

  • Pre-calculus 110*
  • Total of two (2) sciences2, including at least one (1) of the following:
    • Biology 112 or Biology 122
    • Chemistry 112 or 122
    • Physics 112 or 122
Profile J

Meet Profile A Requirements, plus

  • Pre-calculus 1101
  • Total of three (3) sciences2, including at least two (2) of the following:
    • Biology 112 or Biology 122
    • Chemistry 112 or 122

Profile K

  • Foundations of Mathematics 1101
  • Biology 112 or 122
  • Chemistry 112 or 122
Profile S

This is a Specific Admission Profile which includes a modification or combination of Profiles A to K and/or additional requirements.

1 Applicants who graduated prior to 2014 must have successfully completed Geometry and Applications in Mathematics 112 and Functions and Relations 112 to meet requirements for profiles requiring foundations of Mathematics 110 or Pre-Calculus 110.

2 If a Science is credited toward New Brunswick high school graduation requirements, 91̽»¨ will accept it as an additional science credit. For current science graduation requirements, please go to ).
